Camping & Floating
Open year round, Froggy's River Resort is right off Route 66 just 10 minutes from I-44 and 15 minutes from Fort Leonard Wood. With the Gasconade River running along the campground and two stocked ponds, there are plenty of fish to catch. Or if you prefer, you can go swimming, floating, or boating. For the horseback riding enthusiast, come stay with your furry friends and trail ride in the Mark Twain National Forest. You can access the trails from Froggy's River Resort.
You'll have the best view of the forest from atop your horse. Share that view with your fellow trail riders and come stay at Froggy's where you can do it all again the next morning.
Froggy's River Resort is horse-friendly with hitching posts and tie lines for your use. Call us crazy, but we don't even mind the smell of manure. From a distance, and not on the bottom of our flip flop, of course. Access the Mark Twain National Forest horseback riding trails from Froggy's. Take a look at the map.
No Kayak? No problem. Reserve your kayak or canoe ahead of time, and it will be waiting for you. Froggy's offers transportation services so we will take you and your rented canoe or kayak to Black Ford, or you can put in at Froggy's and we'll pick you up down stream in a few hours.
If you have a kayak or canoe you'd like to bring along, then you can hire Froggy's transportation service to shuttle you to your destination. We can even pick you up if that's what you need.
